Workshops Some time ago, in discussion with artist friends, I discovered that they would like to 'try' soft pastels but were unwilling to commit to the purchase of the materials. I decided to equip and run Soft Pastel Workshops myself and these have been well received. I provide all the materials which means the artist merely has to arrive to find that everything they need is laid out before them. The topic for the Workshop (Landscape, Animals, Portraits, Water, etc, etc) is discussed before the date and I provide an A4 sized black and white image and an A5 colour image for the artist to work from within the Workshop. I outline to the group what needs to be done then I provide one-to-one tuition, assisting, where required, with the development of the painting. I can attend your meeting place, bringing everything (including refreshments) with me. All you need to provide is the venue, the tables and the artists (beginner to professional welcome). I charge £15 per artist for a three-hour Workshop plus some reasonable travelling expenses. The minimum group should be fifteen people.
